Whether you care about this event or not, it is you social duty to LET THE HOST/HOSTESS or ORGANIZATION KNOW IF YOU PLAN TO ATTEND.
If you have ever hosted a party, wedding or a community celebration, you know how frustrating it is not to have an accurate head count. Someone has wasted the time and energy to cook and prepare for your attendance or spent money on catering for folks who never showed. In the worst case scenario, it is costing a non-profit valuable money. The last party I hosted, only 1/3 of the invitees replied. Talk about not knowing what to expect!
I know we all get busy and sometimes even with the best intentions, we miss a deadline. Please put yourself in the host's position and keep on top of your party invites. You should respond within two days of receiving the invitation or by the respond by date. There is no excuse for bad manners.
