PARTNER spent part of his weekend picking up Apache trash. This time he plunked it right into some of the trenches they are digging to run their lines. Hope they enjoy it as much as we do! Our property looks like it was over-run with monster gophers. I'm just waiting for one of us to fall into these pits and break a leg.
We drove over to have a look at King Crab and noticed someone had taken up residence in a trailer. It was this guy, Daniel, who was keeping tabs on the well. We introduced ourselves and he commented that he "wondered what we were doing there." I was hoping there weren't lots of other folks roaming around un-accounted for. The worst part of this encounter was that he was smoking. I'm thinking that gas, crude and cigarettes don't mix and just MAYBE he shouldn't be checking the well and lighting up. Well, if the ranch explodes, we'll know what happened. Of course, they won't be able to rescue anyone, as we have no health and safety vehicle on the property. Where is OSHA when you need them?
