Gives Us Back Our Holidays

Before the PC police arrived, holidays were a happy time.  Schools were alive with carols, pageants and paper chains.  Children learned of the Hanukkah dreidel and gilt.  Family traditions were shared along with holiday treats.  It was a great way for students to explore other cultures.
Now, even uttering "Merry Christmas" is a crime.  For heaven's sake, let's not insult any of the immigrants who were so anxious to share the American Dream. America is supposed to be the melting pot, but some folks refuse to "melt".  I can't imagine voluntarily coming to a country and expecting that nation to charge cultural traditions at my behest.
Can you imagine the uproar if we went to Baghdad and demanded that they not mention
Allah at school?  How about requesting beef on the school lunch menu in India?  It seems we are so busy accommodating everyone, we are losing our identity.
Why not just included all cultural celebrations in the school's social studies curriculum? I might even teach children to be a little more tolerant and less suspicious of an unfamiliar ideas. I think all this PC business has turned into BS.
